Destination wedding in Puglia.
Usually in my address book I take you around Italy or even around Europe,
This article instead was born with a different initiative, to re-evaluate my territory; Puglia, even more specifically the Gargano.
Very often when we talk about Puglia and weddings we almost always think of the typical Apulian farmhouse, a rustic structure ready to host weddings even with a rather large number of guests.
This time however I don’t want to talk to you about the Apulian farms but rather about a unique territory of its kind that we Apulians boast of having, the splendid Umbra Forest; undoubtedly the largest forest in southern Italy, but in this magnificent place, to say the least, some of my wedding colleagues and I have carried out a project that we are particularly close to heart.

Inside the Umbra Forest
we have recreated the conditions for an intimate wedding to take place.
In the Cantoniera d’Umbra residence; typical completely renovated roadman’s house it will be possible to offer accommodation to your guests; as it is equipped with rooms all with private bathrooms in order to guarantee your guests their privacy, a living area on the lower floor where the corner bar is located, the room where you can have breakfast, the dining room and a beautiful outdoor space under a portico which will be set up with tables (naturally in the warmer periods).
Adjacent to the structure there is a space enclosed by stone walls in which we enjoyed recreating a typical imperial table in full wedding style but also in total harmony with the surrounding nature.
Precisely thanks to its position, this structure will offer you a wedding in contact with nature but also extremely intimate in which you can spend convivial moments with your loved ones.
Handfsting

A few hundred meters from the structure we have a lake on which our spouses exchanged their love promises.
What characterized this (symbolic) civil rite was the rite of the ribbons; Have you ever heard about it ?
The handfasting ritual takes place as follows: the bride and groom take their hands, crossing them to form the infinity sign and the officiant ties them together using colored ribbons, each of which symbolizes a quality or a desire. After the exchange of vows in two languages, our spouses returned to the structure, where the wedding planner Elena le Fosse / princess Apulia coordinated the spaces in the best possible way to arrange a splendid imperial table with floral decorations and soft-colored porcelain.
